Ready, Set, Learn (RSL) for Independent Schools
Ready, Set, Learn (RSL) supports events and activities for families and their 3 - 5 year-old children that foster positive connections between families and the school system. Events may feature guests, handouts, or information from community agencies and other early childhood service providers. Independent schools (Group 1/2) may participate in the program.
Across BC, RSL provides approximately 22,000 parents/caregivers and 22,000 children with school and/or community-based events and /or Kindergarten transition supports each year.
RSL Grant Applications from independent schools are reviewed according to the order in which they are received. Funding for RSL is capped; therefore, application to the program is not a guarantee of funding.

- The application process is now closed
Evaluation Form
- Approved schools are required to provide feedback about their events.
- Independent School Administrators must complete and submit the RSL report on-line for 2024/25 RSL activities by October 1, 2025. The report will be available in spring 2025.
